The Indian medical community is one of the most robust, large and a monster compared to that of other countries. However due to lack of co-ordination and information transfer, this industry has not been able to make sustainable changes in the global medical field.
Lack of transparent communication and low adoption of technology has caused the Indian medical industry to go in an advanced state of decay, which it needs to recover from. We here at Medkit hope to bring about that change by creating smartphone penetration among doctors and associated medical services so as to give end-to-end service to the customer. This would not only allow the medical services to give a better customer satisfaction to the customer, but would result in higher profits due to better efficiency in patient management, process chain of diagnosis,tests and the confirmation and delivery of medicines.
The Indian Medical Council states that the prescription given by the doctor should be presented to the Pharmacists as given. Medkit hopes that higher smartphone penetration would allow the humble prescription pad to be replaced by its digital equivalents in the years to come, and help doctors adopt the usage and be pioneers.
